Nerva conversion kit consists of two wooden rails used to connect the Headboard and Footboard of the bed as well as two sets of slats to provide support for a full size mattress. The bed does not require the purchase of a box spring and the rails are generally design specific. We recommend that you place the mattress directly onto the slatted platform without the use of a box spring, especially in the first few months or year during the toddler transition to full bed.
